Celebrating our second year with a trip to Bath, Somerset.

A couple of weeks ago, Kieran and I took a trip to Bath to celebrate our second year anniversary. I’d never been before and, eager to try out The Pig hotel (the only one I was yet to visit!) we decided to spend the day exploring the town.

After a stop for tea at The Pig (which was incredibly beautiful - unsurprisingly just like it's other hotels!) we then ventured over to the city centre to look around some shops. This was followed by spending ages trying to find The Green Rocket cafe - which was typically just around the corner! It seems that, after Paris, this kind of thing has become a regular occurrence!

The cafe itself is vegetarian / vegan, that caters to everyones tastes and dietary requirements. It was incredibly welcoming, with its cute and quirky decor. I loved the greenery in little metal pots on the wooden tables that added a warming rustic touch to the place! To start with, I opted for a clean juice, made with carrot, orange and ginger. I’m slightly in love with juices ever since trying one at Zoukinis in Westbourne - another vegetarian haunt of ours!

This one tasted great and very refreshing - perfect after spending a few hours in a car and then traipsing around the shops. I then ordered a butternut squash salad topped with feta. For such a clean and simple recipe, it was delicious. Kieran went for the falafel and chilli sandwich - which looked great too! Not only was the food amazing, but the staff were lovely too - adding to the great atmosphere that we initially picked up when we first walked in. So, its safe to say that we’ll be visiting again if we stop by Bath anytime soon!

We then finished our visit with a browse around Anthropologie - one of my favourite shops for it’s beautiful home and interior bits and pieces. I was spoilt by Kieran, who bought me a terrarium that now houses one of my succulent plants in my bedroom! I also picked up a copy of the Kinfolk winter edition which I’m still looking forward to reading now I’ve got some free time (well, a little more at least!)

All in all, we had a lovely day in a beautiful place, just enjoying each others company like we do. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate two years with this rather handsome man!
