The H&M / Urban Outfitters Edit.

Today, Kieran and I decided to venture somewhere I hadn’t been in ages - Dorchester. I thought it would be a good excuse to wear in my new H&M imitation suede tan boots, which are perfect for the transition from winter to spring (even if it is slightly wishful thinking!)

I decided to pair them with my new blue ripped skinny jeans and Aztec print kimono (also H&M) and my new long sleeved crop from Urban Outfitters. The kimono is perfect for this seasons 70s trend and really gives a new lease of life to basic items as it goes with so many things - plus it adds a little extra warmth which is definitely necessary at the moment!

Once we got to Dorchester, we visited its Curiosity Centre full of vintage finds and trinkets. I spotted too many things I liked - but resisted the urge to take home half the warehouse! We stopped for tea, before heading over to Vivo Lounge for lunch.

The restaurant itself is part of a chain, but the name varies depending on location. There’s Conto lounge and Circo lounge near me, all with the same boudoir and luxe atmosphere. The menu also remains the same - which is handy if you have a personal favourite!

I opted for a grilled halloumi salad topped with roasted butternut squash, salad and sweet potato and basil falafels. I’m a huge lover of anything sweet potato and falafels, so this seemed like the obvious choice! Kieran went for a pulled pork ciabatta with fries on the side, which he informed me was super hot - and therefore just perfect for his liking!

Whilst I loved the salad, I can’t say I was too keen on the halloumi which seemed quite rubbery in texture. That being said, the falafels were great and definitely my favourite part of the meal - which I’ll be attempting to replicate at home for sure!

Sunday Morning Walks And Pancakes At Urban Reef.

Yesterday, Kieran and I took a trip with his family to Boscombe beach to take a few photos for part of an upcoming uni assignment of mine, so we took it as a chance to visit one of our favourite cafes for breakfast!

So, we all bundled up into Kieran’s dads Volkswagen van (with Beth, their lovely black scottie dog) in tow. We parked at the top of the hill to allow us all to amble through the woodland and appreciate the cliff top view of the beautiful beach below.

The atmosphere of the place always seems to be buzzing when we visit; from families with kids and dogs like us or surfers and runners popping in for a fruit smoothie, which means getting there early is advisable!

The menu ranges from traditional fry up breakfasts, and cater for veggies with their meat free versions too. For the more health conscious, there’s porridge and granola - which are both favourites of mine! I opted for pancakes topped with berries and maple syrup this time with my usual tea and soy milk (who needs to wait for pancake day as an excuse?)

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
